一、崗位職責(zé)

1、在選定方向進(jìn)行射電脈沖星相關(guān)研究，如高精度脈沖星計(jì)時(shí)，脈沖星計(jì)時(shí)陣探測(cè)低頻引力波，脈沖星計(jì)時(shí)陣數(shù)據(jù)分析，納赫茲引力波來(lái)源搜尋等；

2、處理大型射電望遠(yuǎn)鏡（如天馬，FAST）脈沖星觀測(cè)數(shù)據(jù)，分析脈沖星計(jì)時(shí)陣數(shù)據(jù)；

3、為工作及項(xiàng)目撰寫相關(guān)論文。

二、基本條件

1、具有天體物理、天文技術(shù)與方法，或物理等相關(guān)專業(yè)博士學(xué)位，35周歲（含）以下；

2、具有射電脈沖星計(jì)時(shí)陣數(shù)據(jù)處理相關(guān)經(jīng)驗(yàn)，并能熟練使用相關(guān)軟件（如tempo2,PINT，enterprise,temponest等）和相關(guān)編程語(yǔ)言（如python,C/C++）；

3、具有射電脈沖星，引力波數(shù)據(jù)分析和低頻引力波來(lái)源基本知識(shí)；

4、具有獨(dú)立開展科學(xué)研究的能力；

5、熱愛科研工作，誠(chéng)實(shí)可信，具有較強(qiáng)的責(zé)任心；

6、具有較強(qiáng)的團(tuán)隊(duì)協(xié)作和進(jìn)取創(chuàng)新精神。

Job description

Shanghai Astronomical Observatory (SHAO), CAS, is seeking to fill one postdoctoral position in the Radio Astronomy Science and Technology division. The successful candidate will join the Pulsar Timing Array (PTA) group and will be able to independently lead their own projects in areas related to the data analysis and interpretation of nano-Hertz gravitational wave signals. The PTA group has a strong focus on national and international collaboration, working with colleagues in the CPTA, EPTA and IPTA. Thus, the successful candidate will be strongly encouraged to work within a PTA collaboration.

As part of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) SHAO provides a diverse research environment and has access to a wide range of research facilities, such as FAST, etc. The institute also possesses its own facilities such as the 65-m Tianma radio telescope and excellent computational resources. SHAO is also leading the efforts to establish a Chinese VLBI network (CVN). The observatory is heavily involved in the SKA project, especially is pushing to construct the China SKA Regional Centre.

Candidates should hold a PhD in Physics, Astronomy or a related discipline as well as relevant prior experience. Knowledge on the following topics are beneficial: 1. pulsars, in particular pulsar timing; 2. data analysis for gravitational wave search experiments; 3. astrophysical and/or cosmological GW sources. Basic coding skills are required, in particular in python. Expertise in analyzing pulsar timing data and/or constraining the properties of GW sources is highly desirable.

The SHAO postdoctoral position is open for young researchers of all nationalities. The appointment is awarded for two years initially with the possibility of a one-year extension following this initial period, subject to performance and funding availability. The start date is flexible, but should be within 2025. The salary is dependent on qualification and experience, but highly competitive with generous social benefits.
