The research group of Professor John McGuire in the School of Physical Science and Technology is focused on dynamics and interactions, especially those involving excitons, in low-dimensional semiconductors and other solid state systems as probed by ultrafast (femtosecond) optical techniques. At present, we invite outstanding young scientists to apply for post-doctoral research position in the group.

崗位職責

1.Execute research projects (from construction of an experimental platform to data acquisition, analysis, and interpretation to publication) conceived by or in conjunction with the PI.

2.Assist the PI in training, supervising, and guiding graduate and undergraduate students in research.

3.Take responsibility for routine maintenance of laboratory instruments and assist in bureaucratic tasks (e.g., purchasing).

4.Participate in the writing and management of research funding proposals.

招聘條件

1.Possess a Ph.D. in solid state physics, semiconductor optics, femtosecond optics, or closely related fields;

2.demonstrated expertise in two-dimensional spectroscopy;

3.demonstrated ability to independently carry out scientific research and publish high-quality papers in international journals;

4.able to work as part of a team and take responsibility for the progress of graduate students while still able to receive and follow through on PI input on research direction and execution;

5.not more than 35 years old;

6.native Chinese fluency and functional English fluency.
