Role Overview:
This position focuses on applied mathematics. In addition to traditional lecture-based teaching, it involves guiding students in solving practical problems, enabling them to apply learned methods to real-world scenarios. It also aims to broaden students' horizons by exposing them to cutting-edge scientific advancements while helping them understand the application contexts and career prospects of different mathematical disciplines. Of course, foundational mathematics education is essential for developing logical reasoning, fostering critical thinking, and shaping sound values and worldviews.
Key Duties:
? Design and teach foundational mathematics courses at the university level, including Calculus (single-variable and multivariable calculus), Linear Algebra, Probability and Statistics, Computational Methods (Numerical Methods), Differential Equations and their numerical solutions, while also instructing students in using software to solve mathematical problems (e.g., MATLAB, Mathematica, C++, Python).
? Maintain passion for research, lead research in related disciplines, and aspire to be a lifelong learner and researcher.
? Participate in the development of teaching materials, including integrating AI-powered tools to enhance instruction, designing optimized syllabi, textbooks, and other resources to ensure courses align with "practice-integrated eduction" principles.
? Guide students in academic, career, and internship success by collaborating with colleagues and industry partners to align education with real-world needs.
Requirements:
? Passionate about teaching, enjoy working with students, and love the subject you teach. Curious, imaginative, respect everyone, and treat others with sincerity.
? Master's Degree or above in Mathematic or related field with internationalized educational background or overseas work experience.
? Capable of delivering courses entirely in English with professional proficiency.
